SWMO Democrats Town Hall
On Wednesday, May 18th at 7pm we will continue our examination of Misinformation, Disinformation, and Manipulation, considered to be one of the greatest threats to our democracy.
In April, we learned several ways to protect ourselves from being victims of these dangerous tactics and how not to unwittingly amplify false and divisive messages. For example, did you know that putting an ANGRY emoji on a social media post that you don't like helps to strengthen the logarithm for spreading it?
On 5/18 we will focus on issues specific to rural Missouri, manipulation of youth, and additional ways to protect ourselves. There will be more opportunities for discussion with experts from the Missouri Voter Protection Coalition's Disinformation Project.
